We all feel a little chuffed with ourselves when we do something good to help the environment. We’ve gone out of our way to do something good for the world without being forced to do it by anyone.
Are you someone who feels like doing good things for the environment is kind of like doing charity work? Like you’ve done your good deed for the day if you pick up some rubbish on the footpath?
Have you ever stopped and thought about how much effort we put into going against the forces of nature? Mowing our lawns, cutting back trees, shaving various parts of our bodies, changing the air temperatures in our homes and offices. It’s a whole lot of energy we use trying to defy nature!
If you have an environmental conscience, chances are you are pretty fed up with the way most people treat the environment. They still use plastic bags, non-environmentally friendly products and harsh chemicals on their gardens to name a few.
This morning, I was listening to some chatter on the radio and was horrified to hear the show hosts’ attitudes and misconceptions towards recycling. They were under the belief that just because they were putting a lot of things in the recycling bin, there were doing a good job.
